I'm blocking guests from reading *any* board now.  In order to view the boards a user has to register with us.  I've been pondering the pros and cons of this for some time now and have finally decided to go ahead and do it.  I don't think we're going to lose any new users and hopefully it'll nudge the guests out there into registering and contributing to the forum!

So welcome lurking guests if you have decided to join us!

I was thinking,  Shocked , wouldnt it be better if you let guest(s) see the last couple of threads out of the actual poker related threads.  That way they could at least see some discusion and decide weather or not to join to see some more of what there is.

I think we should let them see some but not all..certain threads are for members only.so they join to see what they are missing.

I think lowlim2 should have discussed this with us first before making such a dramatic change Smile

Man those guests... that's so weird tho, I remember sometimes I would look and see like 30 guests online NOW and ur like wtf??? Are there REALLY that many lurkers?  Seems hard to believe.

At first I thought, if I were Superman, a perfect secret identity would be "Clark Kent, Dentist," because you could save money on tooth X-rays. But then I thought, if a patient said, "How's my back tooth?" and you just looked at it with your X-ray vision and said, "Oh it's okay," then the patient would probably say, "Aren't you going to take an X-ray, stupid?" and you'd say, "Aw fuck you, get outta here," and then he probably wouldn't even pay his bill. ~ Jack Handy

The forum software doesn't allow what you're suggesting SlowJoe.  It's not that hard to sign up for the forum if you want to check it out, and frankly we haven't gotten a lot of legitimate signups in the last.... forever...   So I've tried it the old way, now we're trying it a new way Smile
