I would like to say hello to everyone and it has been a long time since I have posted here.  I really haven't been playing online anymore and I have moved to recreational games with my friends.  I hope everyone is doing great!

Last night during a local game a discussion came up regarding the rule on whether or not a player must show there cards once the hand has reached a showdown. My understanding of the rule is as follows:

1) A player can choose to not show their cards and concede the loss
2) If a player chooses to not show their cards but another player requests those cards must be shown

Essentially, if I paid or checked on the river and we reach a showdown I have the right to see all other player's cards that participated in the showdown.

Please confirm that I am correct and secondly if you know any link that has a detailed listing of the rule it would be a hughe help.

Hi Airborne,

I believe you are right, but its "poor form" to ask, especially continually AND if you did not take part in the hand.

I would ask if I was suspicious, like multiway and I felt I was being sandwiched
