Even more instant bonuses on Stars?

So after May's nice instant bonuses at PokerStars I check this morning... yes they are all still there:

10k FPP = $160
1k FPP = $16
500 FPP = $8

You can redeem each once. 

Now there is a new one:

150k FPP = $2400

This is a better rate than the SN bonuses (100k FPP = $1500) and it's instantaneous.  Also it's open to Gold and up, not just SN.

Why would anyone actually buy bonuses at this point?  161,500 points can be instantly turned into $2584 with no grinding to clear bonuses.  You can do this every month and I don't think that many people, even Supernovas, are earning more than 161,500 points a MONTH. 

Are they just going to get rid of bonuses that need to be cleared in favor of instant cash?

Now there is a new one:

Wow, I didn't notice this.  Maybe they ARE thinking of replacing the bonuses, that would be awesome.  I wonder if next month they'll include a $4k instant cash credit?

I'm surprised they're doing this, along with the free SN perks.  Maybe they've seen a drop in their numbers recently?

Until the WSOP gets into everyone's minds doesnt summer cause a drop in the table traffic every year?  I'm pretty sure they do lots of different things every year around this time to entice people to the tables.
