Yeah I read that too Dave, I'd be surprised if it were true. Tony G has a bit of a reputation at the tables but he's always seemed a really straight up "man of the people" type whenever I've seen him interviewed. It's hard to know who to believe in these situations though.
I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt when things like this happen. Particularly when they are in a non-supervisory role and a sponsor or endorser. As endorsers usually you have no control over anything and your knowledge of the company is often fairly limited as well. Typically someone says "look we've been in business for x-years. We run a profitable business and we are willing to cut you x-$$$ for the use of your name and a small # of appearances. What then happens is that the endorser becomes the face of the company and the management becomes less responsible in the public eye. Good luck to Tony if he had no knowledge or involvement with this stuff. That media circus will get nasty.
