Hand 1: Once you decide to bet the river and the action goes bet/call/RAISE, you can fold your kings versus most players, particularly at these stakes.  He's either hit trip jacks or a flush, most players don't bluff raise the river into two people.  Alternatively you could just check the river.

Hand 2: You're either way ahead or way behind, so no need to raise the turn here.  You're heads-up, so just call him down.  When you raise you allow him to take you to value-town when he has the ace, but you can't fold because he might be semibluffing a flush draw.  So just call and show down your hand.

Hand 3: Don't slowplay your set, it's not a strong enough hand to slowplay and what second-best hands are you hoping your opponents will improve to?  You want to get as much money in on the flop as possible before another flush card hits, because if it does it might kill your action.  You did at least continue with the plan and pop the turn despite the flush card, and when he reraises you called down, which is fine.  But yeah, to slowplay your hand has to be VERY strong relative to the board and your opponents' likely ranges, AND it should be a situation where they can improve to a second best hand if you give them a free card BUT they'll likely fold if you bet.  None of these criteria apply in this particular hand.

Hand 1:  If you're going to value bet this river, I would ask what my opponents are going to call with that I can beat.  And that range significantly narrowed in a multi-way pot with a jack hitting and a back door flush hitting on the river.  Against one loose opponent who calls down lightly I would value bet the river.  In a multi-way pot I would check here since a jack is likely to be calling down here.  If there were any straight draws on the flop they missed, so none of those hands are calling if you bet.

Hand 2:  It's always a tough spot when you have KK and a paired ace flop hits.  A call downs okay, I might even consider folding when a flush hit on the turn and given a player is all and this guy was passive pre-flop and opened up now.  But the two options are calling/folding, no reason to check-raise and build a bigger pot when you don't have a club and AA is on the board.  I would only fold with a pretty solid read (that this guy is passive and straightforward), against loose players you should call down.  Frustrating spot.

Hand 3:  Here's the problem with slowplaying top set with a flush draw on the board.  Typically few players are going to bet the turn again with their draw if they miss, so you only get the one big bet instead of the two your planning.  And it's unlikely that anyone has a hand there going to pay you off big with here, since there's only one ace left in the deck.  It's much more likely there on a draw and you should raise the flop.  In addition a few players will drop out on the turn, so you get them to pay extra when you raise here on the flop.  In fact, you'll get paid off more if someone is slowplaying a lower set, they'll definetly put some big bets in on the turn.

When someone donks a flush draw in a multi-way pot on the turn, don't raise.  I've mentioned in posts before how I often like to raise donk bets, especially with pairs.  This spot is much more dangerous because you'll likely get 3 bet.  Put it this way, if he has the flush you're behind to him.  If he's completely bluffing he's not calling your raise and you win the same regardless.  If he has a hand that will pay you off you'll win an extra bet, but this would be a very unusual way of playing a solid pair that would pay you off here.  In addition the pot is multi-way.  The flush or a bluff is more likely, so just call (as weak as that sounds with top set here).

Thanks for posting, give's me a break   Cool

I should just make it clear that I agree with Duck about not raising the turn in hand 3.  I was saying that given you decided to slowplay it was good that you stuck to your plan, but it's definitely better to raise the flop and just call when the flush hits in a multiway pot.

I think I got KK 3 times in an hour last night.  I had much better results!

Limit is all about playing precisely and winning or saving extra bets here and there.  Hand 1, the river card is bad for you, so don't bet.  Hand 2, the flop is awful, so check and call the whole way if you must.  Hand 3, the flop is awesome, so cap it if you can.  But the turn card is awful, so slow down, don't speed up.

Thanks guys....  Methinks I got a bit overzealous since I've been card-dead all day long and finally I start getting some good ones... wanted to get everyone out of the damn pot!
