Actually V I've just realised he said "if you are a supernova hitting SNE", he didn't say he was actually a SNE.  What does he mean by that?

that's what i'm wondering.  I'm guessing he's figuring in the milestone bonuses you will get along to way to a million vpps in his calculation of the value of a vpp??

Ive posted to you guys before how 24 tabling 1/2 Full ring limit holdem around 40 - 50 hours/week for 50 weeks = SNE

It's much more possible than most people believe, that is if you can keep doing it day after day, I have no CLUE how my friend has gone this long, he says he's not burning out at all either which shocks me.

At first I thought, if I were Superman, a perfect secret identity would be "Clark Kent, Dentist," because you could save money on tooth X-rays. But then I thought, if a patient said, "How's my back tooth?" and you just looked at it with your X-ray vision and said, "Oh it's okay," then the patient would probably say, "Aren't you going to take an X-ray, stupid?" and you'd say, "Aw fuck you, get outta here," and then he probably wouldn't even pay his bill. ~ Jack Handy

50 hours a week 24 tabling sounds pretty hard to me. A lot harder than going to work with benefits, vacation, paid breaks, etc. If I ever make it to playing for a living, I hope I don't have to play 6-7 days a week.

Still SNE is definitely more money than I make now so I'm not criticizing...

To clear a $650 cash bonus (assuming Platinum VIP status) requires you to clear 24550 VPPs.  (This is from the 20000 needed to reach 50000 FPPs to purchase the bonus, then another 4550 to clear it.)  So 1 VPP is worth 650/24550 = $0.026.

Adam made mention of it, but I think this is an error in your calculation. The 4550 to clear the bonus should not be considered a cost unless this is the final bonus you are trying to clear. If it is the final bonus, then the 4550 VPPs to clear will not be serving double duty; thus they must be considered a cost.

If you are trying to clear one, and only one bonus, then your "1 VPP is worth 650/24550 = $0.026" is correct. But look at trying to clear 2 bonuses:

You must earn 44550 to earn $1300, so...1 VPP is worth 1300/44550 = $0.029.

As we try to clear more and more bonuses over time, the 4550 will become negligible and there will be an asymptote at 1 VPP is worth 650/20000 = $0.0325.

Yeah you're right Kurt, I realised this after Verstehen's and Mel's posts.  Thanks for showing the correct working.

I find this stuff really interesting, but I just don't think I have it in me to robotically play 40 tables every hour of the day.  It just sounds soul-destroying, and not a lot of fun.
