Cool Donk strikes again...

Player 5: (44,11,2)
Player 1: Unknown

5 has turned more aggressive as the table has gotten a bit more short-handed.

My thinking throughout the hand:

Pre-flop:  65o is the bottom of the barrel range wise, but I feel player 5 is way overaggressive.  I feel I need a call, and even a marginal hit is check-raise.  He's probably raising light and I'll have good fold equity.

Flop:  can't get a better flop then this.  Check-raise to drive player 1 out, get player 5 heads up and begin the punishment. Gutshot plus a possible 6 other out to improve is great.  Possible 10 outs with fold equity.

Player 1 Reraise:  Well fuck me.

Obviously he hit well.  As bad as this situation looks, I have to call based on the odds.  I doubt he's playing a flush draw like this, but it's possible.  I'm thinking straight or fold

Turn:  Open-ended, have to call.  If I wouldn't have improved this is an easy fold.
River:  Bingo

Your thoughts on the defense?

I think preflop is close and if the raiser's range was tighter I'd normally fold this unless it was suited.  But given that you have a read that the raiser has a wide range AND you have the dead money from the SB in the pot, I'd play.

The reason I say it's close is that your relative position is bad, so I think you could fold this with a clear conscience.  But it's hard not to play when you have a (probably bad) limper and over-aggro player + dead money, so I'd call.

The rest of the hand I'd play the same way.  One thing though, why didn't you cap the river?
