I emailed PokerStars to ask if there was ever going to be an iPhone client available for download. The support person told me that it couldn't work on the current software. Then I poked around online and some programmer types were saying that it was definitely possible to make a secure poker client on a phone or wireless enabled device.

Once again I appeal to the programmers and ten experts: is there any reason there couldn't be online poker on phones?

Well they already have some poker type games on phones where you play against others.. They are all for free though I think.

Remember that commercial about 1 or 2 years ago, where these kids are playing on their phone and they keep getting smoked, i think they keep saying this dude is killing me, Dude!  and then the end shows some granny wearing sunglasses playing on her phone and she says something like " Nice call rookie"  or some crap?

I dunno it was a lame commercial but I thought they were advertising a free poker game against other players back then, so I dont see why you couldnt.

It would suck if you were playing though and someone called you up.

At first I thought, if I were Superman, a perfect secret identity would be "Clark Kent, Dentist," because you could save money on tooth X-rays. But then I thought, if a patient said, "How's my back tooth?" and you just looked at it with your X-ray vision and said, "Oh it's okay," then the patient would probably say, "Aren't you going to take an X-ray, stupid?" and you'd say, "Aw fuck you, get outta here," and then he probably wouldn't even pay his bill. ~ Jack Handy

Is there greater ability to capture data streams from mobile devices? If so, they probably don't want to worry about hackers figuring a way to see cards.
