I received an email about this a couple of weeks ago, although they weren't specific about what was going to happen.  So Doyle's and Cake are now different skins on the same network, much like Party and Empire used to be.

I guess Doyle's was getting no traffic and the Cake Poker Network must be 'on the up'.  I noticed other skins like RedStar and CardSpike appearing recently, also on the same network.

The only thing that worries me about playing at Cake is that (according to BonusWhores at least) you can have multiple accounts.  Do you know if this is this true David?

Ahh, I didn't make myself clear Dave, sorry.  I suspected you wouldn't be able to log into both at the same time (although it's good to check that out!).  What I meant was that, if my understanding is correct, you are allowed to have as many accounts as you like on each skin.

Obviously you're not supposed to play more than one account per person, but what's to stop people buying five computers and playing at your table?  Mind you, I suppose that's also possible at other sites, I just thought it was a bit odd that they allow it at all.

I did enjoy my short time at Cake though, I must admit.  The software was surprisingly pleasant to use and I also like the fact you can change your screen-name as often as you like.

Yeah I guess that's true, in which case Cake are actually just being sensible.  There's not point in having rules that aren't enforceable.
