PokerStars Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (10 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Preflop: Hero is Button with :Jd, :Ac
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, MP2 raises, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls

Flop: (12.4 SB) :Ad, :Td, :Qc (6 players)
BB checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 raises, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls

UTG is a maniac who has, on more then one hand, bet out with bottom pair.  UTG+1, no read...3bet for two reasons, A) figure I'm good here often enough to make this a value bet (KQ is kind of scary but I have redraws to chop the pot) and B) if I don't improve on the turn, I can either take a free card (which I read as a bad idea depending on what it is) or I can bet on the turn for a free showdown if I don't like the way the hand is going.

Turn: (15.2 BB) :Tc (6 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 bets, 1 fold, MP3 calls, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG calls

Not sure what I'm thinking here, other then, maniac is better and Pot is Huge...

River: (20.2 BB) :4h (5 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 bets, MP3 calls, Hero calls, BB calls, 1 fold

At this point, I really doubt my hand is good...This many people in it...but I can't seem to fold because of pot size.

Total pot: $12.10 (24.2 BB) | Rake: $0.40

So, yeah, not sure how I got in this spot, but comments would be nice.

I am not sure I like the 3 bet on the flop....neither the bet and raise has come from the Original PF raiser, so there is a very good chance you are behind.

as to the rest, your behind to a t least a Ten, given the play...UTG+1 raises the flop, calls your 3bet, then bets out again on the turn?

Rest is standard because you split Any A, except AK

I dont like calling the preflop raise.  if you are comfortable playing AJo in this spot you should raise it in order to thin the field behind you.

I don't like the call preflop either, but with that many people in the hand, it seemed like I had some decent odds to draw out on.  I think my biggest problem was over playing TPMK.  I should have been able to get away from it on the flop and I didn't.

Once I screwed up the flop, I think the rest was pretty inevitable considering pot size.

Results in white below:
Hero mucked :jd, :ac (two pair, Aces and tens).
BB mucked 9, :js (one pair, tens).
UTG+1 had :qd, :ts (full house, tens over Queens).
MP3 mucked :jh, :th (three of a kind, tens).
Outcome: UTG+1 won $11.70

Your logic is wrong here.  With AJo it's not about drawing out.  It's about having a hand with good high card strength that outweighs your opponent's possible holdings.  You shouldnt be calling because we dont want to play a hand that isn't likely to outdraw anything against 4-5 opponents.  We want to play against 1-2 opponents.  If you like your hand against the raiser and the caller then raising would be the right play in order to attempt to squeeze out the other 2 early limpers.  If you dont like your high card strength and think you need to draw to a big hand then AJs would be an okay hand to call with here.  Offsuit has such limited potential in multiway pots that I really think your play is horrible spew IMHO.

Yeah, I agree with the others here.  With offsuit hands like AJ and AQ, either three-bet or fold preflop is a good rule to follow unless you're in the blinds.  If you're not sure of the raiser's range, it's always better to fold than get involved with a potentially dominated hand.

Calling is the worst option because you'll be stuck in MP in a large, multiway pot with a reverse-implied odds hand.  These kind of hands are REALLY difficult to play in these circumstances, even if you flop top pair.  Folding if you're unsure of the guy's range is wise and will never be a big mistake.  Hands like AJs, KQs, small pairs and even suited connectors in late position are fine hands to cold-call with in these kind of games.
