A few more examples that I hope will clarify:

1) Villain is a good 20/18 who steals a lot:

Hmmm.... BCingyou  .... thanks for the compliment.

I didn't know you were doing this though.  I guess from reading this one tiny little thing light 3betting seems like a new concept over here or something.

I really haven't noticed you 3betting all that often.

Interesting to have seen this though if for no other reason than my name was mentioned.

P.S.

I may come back and check on this but likely I will not as unfortunately I do not have as much time nowadays as I did 4 or 5 months ago.  I don't recall how long you've been playing 100NNL and 200NL at Stars but you may have or may not have noticed that the last couple months I have been at the tables a lot less often.  .... And also especially since this forum or whatever just annoys me.  As I'm replying now the text box I'm typing in is a tiny little box in the top left of my screen.  What's up with that?

Modify:

I also don't expect to post much of value here nor to become a regular poster here.

Double Modify:

I just looked this hand up.  If it interests you I had Qc7c.  It's actually not a hand I standardly raise there ... it's just slightly worse than that.

Well ... I guess there's a decent chance I'll be seeing you a bit.  Good luck ... except when you're playing a hand against me or against a big fish (I want the fish to have money).

Watch out for the 3betting me though.  I think I'm better tuned in to your ranges now than I was before.   Wink

Hmmm .... I've figured out the small text box issue.  Dunno what that was.  Seems like a more navigable forum now.  Sorry about the improper quote above.  I would change it now but I still don't see an edit button or anything.

Edit:

I found the edit button.  You guys use a "modify" button.  Wasn't used to that.

That has been our goal all along.   Laughing   Laughing  My god, another one who takes everything personally.

But, on that subject, it does annoy me when people use the word "villain."  To me, it is disrespectful.  And an "us against them" attitude is actually counter-productive at a poker table, IMO.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not here.  But it's merely because I don't usually have a ton of free time anymore (I'm in law school and I still need to actually play poker) and I already have a place I go to discuss poker and I don't particularly want to add a second place.

I didn't take anything personally.  I merely meant I did not like the layout nor the tiny tiny box that fit like 5 words on the screen where you type your message.  I must have originally come into the forum through some weird backdoor or w/e.  I went to the main index and then clicked the forum and it's fine now.  Now that I can it for real the layout no longer annoys me and is much easier to use.

Sorry the term "villain" upsets you.  It merely is a replacement for saying "relevant opponent" or whatever.

You're welcome, and anyone who's 20/18 with positional awareness (high attempt-to-steal %) at 100NL is definitely much better than average.

Actually I would say light 3-betting is a bit new here, many of us came from LHE to NL tournaments to NL cash and what can I say, we are behind the 2p2 curve.

GL at the tables and welcome to the forum.

Could we perhaps expand this with what you do when they call your light 3-bet and you whiff the flop?  I think I know the answer but I won't assume for now.
