I bought this when it first came out Dave.  It was a little lightweight on the deep-stack strategy IMO, but the stuff on bubble factors/restealing/short stack shove or fold strategy etc. was really excellent.

I'd recommend it if you want to know about push/fold strategies and bubble theory in tourneys and sngs.  They take the "Kill Phil" strategies to the next level, so if you liked that book you'll know the kind of thing you're in for.

But it's definitely more of a theoretical book, sort of a very shortened and easy to read "Mathematics of Poker".  If you're looking for lots of hand examples I'd stick to the Harrington books.

That's not to say the material it contains is 'lightweight' in any way, just that it's a lot easier to read than most other theory books.

It also contains a chapter on six max cash games by Mark Vos.  It's only a primer, and there's certainly nothing there you don't already know.  But for a newb it would be useful.

You'll probably find more detailed reviews over at 2+2.

Can someone please tell me the publishing date of this book?  I usually pick up most poker books at my local library via an inter-library book loan but can only get books that are published in 2007 or prior (yah.... I'm a regular there which is a bit embarassing, they even have my phone number memorized to let me know when my next books are in, lol... usually 3 new ones each month but some of them I'm on my 4th time ordering them up).

I'm guessing there's nothing new in this book that I haven't seen in others but I'm a poker book reading freak so am always up for a good read.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Poker Orifice,

Don't bother buying the current version of Kill Everyone.  I spoke with Lee Nelson recently and there's an updated version due to be released in the next couple of months, probably before the WSOP starts.

This new version will be longer and include an optimal strategy for short-stacking six max NL cash games, as well as include additional comments by Elky and colour graphs and charts.

UGHH Tony!! Dammit I just bought Kill Everyone last month and just finished it yesterday!! All I have to say is that I think I have to read this one a few times because it was a lot more complicated then "Kill Phil" Right when I got to chapter 4 "Equilibrium Plays" I pretty much became semi lost and just winged it as if I understood the concept! Anyways What is this talk of a newer volume coming out of Kill Everyone?  My addition of the book was Copy written in 2007 so does that mean that I purchased the older version of the book? All in All I enjoyed reading this Book and I also enjoyed listening to Lee Nelson talk of his Poker Experiences in his Poker Journeys. Great Book!

Hi Shaun,

The new edition of the book hasn't come out yet, I'll post about it on here when it does.  You shouldn't be too worried because the new edition will be VERY similar to the old edition in terms of content.  The only new stuff will be additional commentary by Elky and an optimal strategy for short-stacking the six-max cash games (it's this that interests me).  He also mentioned that the charts may be in colour, although that hasn't been confirmed yet.

Cool Tony LOL I just wish I would of waited a little longer before I bought Kill Everyone but I am sure that it can not be that much different. I got a brand new copy from Amazon for like $28 including shipping!! I was pretty stoked LOL . This player "Elky" was going for some world record a few days back at PokerStars trying to play as many $6.50 9 man SNG's as he could all day from what I hear! I wonder how he faired?
